This is simply a list of some of the companies our vendors use.*
Please check with your insurance company first to see if you can get Business Liability Insurance through them for Farmers Markets.  Many offer bundle packages and this can save you money in the long run.

Here are some of the carriers used by our Farmers & Food Vendors.
  • Campbell Risk Management can insure market vendors for multiple farmers markets. To apply, access the application and policy information by clicking on the “Farmers Market Vendors” link at Campbell Risk Management - Home.
  • TWFG Davis Insurance can insure market vendors for one or multiple farmers markets for an additional fee. To apply, access the application and policy information by clicking on the “Farmers Market Vendors” TWFG Davis Insurance.
  • Farmers Market Insure Now can insure market vendors for multiple markets and multiple “additional insured”. To apply, go to their website at http://farmersmarketinsurenow.com.
The State of Texas requires all Crafters, Other Non-Food Item Sales Item and Pet Food Vendors to have a Sales Tax ID under their business name and/or under their DBA.  Therefore it is required at our Farmers Market.

If you do not have one you may purchase one at the Texas Comptrollers Office
HERE.

Helpful Advice:   If you do not have a Sales Tax ID number currently please think big picture when submitting to the comptroller for your Tax ID number.  You can take away from what you sell but you can not add new products without submitting a whole new sales tax ID with Texas.

Example: (You only want to make tables now but might want to add chairs and quilts in 2 years. Put chairs and quilts under your Sales Tax ID now so you are covered.)
