Tomball Farmers Market: A Small Business Incubator for the Houston Area

Tomball Farmers Market is more than a place to shop. It is also a launchpad for local small businesses.

For nearly two decades, Tomball Farmers Market has served as a small business incubator helping local entrepreneurs build successful businesses from the ground up.

34 Businesses Have Outgrown Tomball Farmers Market

Over the years, Tomball Farmers Market has helped 34 local businesses grow beyond the market and move into:
  • Brick-and-mortar storefronts
  • Commercial kitchens
  • Larger production facilities
  • Regional retail opportunities
  • Wholesale accounts

Many of these businesses began with a small booth at Tomball Farmers Market and used the market to grow their customer base, test products, refine their business, and grow.

Today, those same businesses have expanded into permanent locations across the Houston area.

15+ Businesses Have Opened in Old Town Tomball

Even more exciting, more than 15 Tomball Farmers Market vendors have successfully grown into storefronts and businesses in Old Town Tomball.

By supporting Tomball Farmers Market, customers are not only supporting today’s small businesses — they are helping create tomorrow’s local shops, bakeries, restaurants, farms, and boutiques.

Local Businesses like:
  1. Tejas BBQ and Chocolates
  2. Callie's Kitchen
  3. Craving Kernels
  4. Pain Train Salsa

Blackwood Educational Institute's Nature Camp

Blackwood Website
This week at Tomball Farmers Market, we are excited to welcome Blackwood Educational Land Institute and share information about their incredible Blackwood Nature Camp 2026.

Located in Hempstead, Blackwood Nature Camp is a week-long overnight camp for children ages 8–14 designed to help kids unplug, explore, and build confidence in the outdoors. Campers spend their week hiking, paddling, learning about wildlife, building shelters, creating nature crafts, and making lifelong memories surrounded by nature.

What makes Blackwood especially special is their focus on helping children build a true relationship with the land. Their camp combines outdoor adventure with hands-on learning about animals, native plants, sportsmanship, teamwork, and environmental stewardship.

Camp sessions are small, giving each child individual attention and the opportunity to feel safe, supported, and included. Blackwood is proud to welcome all children and creates an environment where kids can grow, explore, and simply enjoy being kids.

Blackwood Nature Camp is located at 27144 Rock Island Road in Hempstead, Texas, just outside of Houston.

Families can learn more, view 2026 camp dates, and register by visiting Blackwoodland.org.

We are so excited to have Blackwood Educational Land Institute as part of the TFM family and encourage you to stop by their booth at the market to learn more.
