We are so happy to be back this weekend! We all hope you enjoyed the Tomball German Festival.  I know we certainly do.

We have several exciting things to announce this week!

We are thrilled to have Lone Star Tomball Library
back with us as a visiting booth.  They have so many interesting things planned to bring to our Tomball Farmers Market. We are really looking forward to having them back out.

Magic Worm Ranch will be back with us the 1st and 3rd weekends every month!  Their soil is absolutely amazing, all natural and can even turn purple thumbs like me into having a beautiful healthy garden.

It's Blueberry & Blackberry Season again and we are excited to have Spring Creek Growers back as well.  Come early as they sell out quickly every weekend they are with us!  This season you can find them next to Jani's Waffles.

We have a couple of events for April to tell you about as well:

April 9th:      Fred Olivero of Olivero Farms Memorial
April 16th:    Easter Egg-venture (kid friendly Easter event)
April 23rd:   GO Planet It's Your Earth Day!!

It is with a very heavy heart that we share with you the passing of one of our longest Farmers and original board member here at Tomball Farmers Market. Fred Olivero of Olivero Farms.

His family will be in attendance on April 9th so that his patrons and our market family can pay their respects to his family.  His family will have some of your favorite products Fred brought every weekend for you.

Our market and you our patrons were very near and dear to Fred and he will be immensely missed.

Below is from his obituary by his son Nicolas Olivero.

On Sunday morning, March 13th, my father, Fred, passed away.
Dad visited his farm on Thursday and while preparing his van for the farmers market on Sunday morning he became tired and sat down to rest; he passed away peacefully from heart failure.

Dad enjoyed puttering around his farm, growing olive trees, making olive oil & soaps, and being a staple at various farmers markets, including the Tomball Market, where he and my mom used to sell baked goods. Though he did not make it to the market that Sunday, I am glad I was able to to attend with him a few weeks earlier and I am very appreciative he got to visit the farm one last time doing what he loved. ....

.....We are planning a service to celebrate dad's life on Saturday April 9th, 2022; the family will also attend the Tomball Market one last time, set up his tent and give away his goods to anyone who may want to have something to remember him by.
Many people knew my dad (or Mr. O or the bear in the cave) and may want to come and pay their respects. I hope you can join us for one or both of these events. Here are the details:

Tomball Farmer's Market
205 W. Main St.
Tomball, TX
9am-1pm

Walden Yacht Club
13101 Melville Dr.
Montgomery, TX
4pm-8pm

I appreciate the condolences; I have now lost both of my parents, making me and my siblings orphans, and that is just about the saddest thing you can imagine.
