June ALREADY?!! June 4th,2022 Tomball Farmers Market

This Saturday looks to be another beautiful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and all Old Town Tomball has to offer. It will be hot and we have ice cold water for a donation at the information booth year round. Funds raised go towards our annual adopt a family event, kids play area & Saturday special events.

Please help us keep you and our patrons safe by shopping after the barricades go up at 8:30 AM. We are a large market and need time to get set up for you safely in the AM.

Please help us keep our market pet friendly. We are grateful that you help us keep this tradition alive by picking up after your pets & making sure your pets are leashed at all times. If you forget to bring your "Oooops" bags that's okay! We have some at the information booth and are happy to give them to you so you can clean up after your furbaby.

2nd Annual TFM DUNK TANK Fundraising Event
June 18th Father’s Day weekend!

Come help us raise money for these two community events and cool off by getting dunked or dunking your favorite local hero for $5 dollars a dunk (4 shots per dunk).

We are raising funds for our community gardens projects & to help the City of Tomball's raise money for their Annual Shop with a Hero Event.

We will have trophies this year:
Most dunked Dad
Most Dunked Department
Most Dunked Hero
High and Dry Hero (least dunked officer or fire fighter!!).

There is a rumor our new Mayor Lori Klein Quinn may even come get dunked.
This was a great hit last year and I hope it will be even better this year!

We need your help! For your safety and ours please don't start shopping until the barricades go up at 8:30 am.

Remember we are open every weekend from 9 to 1 PM year round. We no longer have summer hours so you have 4 hours to enjoy our truly local farmers market fully!

We know it's hot and you want to get the best products our wonderful market vendors have to offer.

However, in order to serve you fully and to keep you and our vendors safe we need time to prepare the market, booths & products every morning before opening at 9.

We can't wait to serve you!!

I hope you all have had a good week despite the deep sorrow we are feeling for our Texas neighbors and across our country. I am not even sure how to process everything at the moment. Like many of you am really having a hard time with all of this today. I can't begin to imagine the community of Uvalde's heartbreak and devastation.
So, my prayer for each of you is that you find peace, be grateful for today because nothing in this world is promised us and each day is a blessing. I pray you keep getting up and doing all the things to make your piece of the world a better place. It's not always easy but it is worth it. You are each worth it. I pray you all are healed from whatever you are walking through and that you always have people in your life to turn to and share with in times of sorrow, stress, happiness and joy. No matter what you believe may you find peace today and know love. -Amen

PlantPureHouston.com: PPC offers programs, resources, tools, and knowledge to empower community leaders, activists, and advocates, in order to help educate people about evidence-based nutrition that shows that optimal health may be achieved through a whole food, plant-based (WFPB) diet.

Dawna Dyson will be back and educating our patrons and vendors about Tower Gardens. These are vertical, aeroponic garden systems that grow up to 30% more healthy produce, 3x faster than traditional gardening while conserving water and space. There is a curriculum for teachers and there are many wonderful examples of community gardens.

It's been a terrific week for us here at Tomball Farmers Market! We've go so many fun and exciting things to share with you! So many great vendors are returning to our market this weekend! Eeeeek!!

NEW FOOD TRUCK ALERT!!
EAT ME THAI STREET FOOD will be visiting our market for the first time! Their food is amazing! We are looking forward to adding them to our market regularly!!

We are in the running for the Houston Chronicle's Best of the Best of Houston! And we are in the running again this year. Voting started May 17th and you can vote once per day!

On June 18th, 2022 from 9:30 to 1 PM we are excited to be partnering again this year to raise money for our future community gardens and the City of Tomball's Shop with Local Heroes Event! Last year it was a great event and everyone had a great time DUNKING the Tomball Fire Department and Tomball Police Department! This year we are adding City Employees to the mix! Who's your favorite hero? Is it your dad, mom, a fire fighter, police officer or perhaps our NEW Mayor Lori Klein Quinn??

I hope all our mom's out there had a great weekend and made wonderful memories to last a lifetime. This weekend we will have over 65 vendors for you this weekend! Don't forget your bags to keep your goodies cool while you shop.

Looking for water? Our Information Booth has water for a donation every week. The money you donate helps us raise money towards Community Gardens we are working towards and Our Adopt a Family in Need during the holidays.

Looking for an ATM Machine? There are about 5 vendors each weekend who only take cash. The closest ATM is CVS or banks near the 2920/249 Intersection. Please consider grabbing a little cash on your way to enjoy all our vendors have to offer.

Texas Deuce Days at the Depot:
The City of Tomball has another event this weekend for you to enjoy. The Texas Deuce Days 3 Day Car show is back this weekend! Doors are open from 10 to 5 on Saturday!

This is the perfect time of year to grab something cold and refreshing from our vendors like, kid and adult friendly Sorbets from Dulce Vida Treats, Watermelon Slushes from Steampunk Juice & Fresh Juice Pops, Lemonade & Aqua Fresca's from PopCart Handmade Ice Pops.

Don't forget to grab your locally made artisan baked goods, farm raised meat and local farmed veggies for your BBQ this weekend!

We can't wait to celebrate your mom with you this weekend! We have so many choices for you to choose from for truly unique gifts and food for your mom! We will be open this Saturday from 9 to 1 PM. Come early for the best selection of locally grown produce.

And bring your cooler and pack your lawn chairs and come enjoy the City of Tomball's famous Rails and Tails event from 11 to 8 PM! They will have live music, fresh crawfish, vendors and a whole lot of good old small town charm and fun!

Did you know??

We have continued to grow over the last 14 years and this has allowed us the opportunity to continuously grow small farmers and local businesses in Houston and the surrounding areas. There was time when we had long waiting list to even get an interview to become a vendor at Tomball Farmers Market. Happily this is no longer the case in 75% of our categories. We do have small waits still for things like candles, body care products and baked goods. But that list is down to less than 20 entrepreneur's.

We are excited that over the last 3 years we have drastically changed how we handle applicants to be able to help truly local businesses and farms grow. We've been lucky enough to foster this growth and help over 17 businesses grow into brick and mortar establishments across the greater Houston, TX area.

We no longer have the long waiting lists to get into our market. Instead we incorporated Fill-In Vendors where we can rotate available booth spaces weekly allowing us the opportunity to grow more small businesses and to and to have a larger variety of vendors for you weekly at our market.

Being one of the largest and most successful truly local farmers markets in the state of Texas has opened up an entire new way for vendors to grow and succeed. As well as allowed us as a nonprofit to help other nonprofits, members of the community and hold educational booths to fulfill our mission to be a strong advocate for local farmers and small businesses.

We truly love our local community and enjoy meeting and getting to know every vendor, patron and other like minded individuals that believe in that old town atmosphere. And teaching the next generation and the current generation how important using local resources is for not only our bodies but our environment.

We are so honored that our vendors, community and especially our patrons trust us each week to bring them high quality fresh local foods, artisan crafts and a unique farmers market experience every week. Thanks for making us what we are today!
