We are amazingly heading into May.  This year is just flying by so quickly.  How do you plan to spend the next 7 months of 2023? Our produce farmers have had a good crop this year so I am excited to see all the healthy goodies they will have for us in the coming weeks. I giggled a few days ago at a T-shirt one of our farmers sent the other day and wanted to share it with you. I hope it makes you giggle.

Remember we are open for business Saturdays from 9 to 1.

Go Planet it's Your Earth Day Market & Tomball Community Spring Cleaning Events
There are so many little ways you can make a big impact in our Tomball Community to help our planet and beautify Tomball.

This Saturday bring your plastic bags to the TFM Trailer while at the market and we will recycle them for you. Plastic bags are bad for the environment because they are made from non-renewable resources. They take hundreds of years to decompose and they are harmful to wildlife and the oceans eco-system.
  • Non-renewable resources: Plastic bags are made from petroleum, a non-renewable resource. Petroleum is a fossil fuel that takes millions of years to form. When we use plastic bags, we are using up a resource that cannot be replaced.
  • Decomposition: Plastic bags take hundreds of years to decompose. This means that they can accumulate in landfills and the environment for a very long time. When plastic bags decompose, they break down into small pieces called microplastics. Microplastics can be ingested by animals, which can harm their health.
  • Wildlife: Plastic bags can harm wildlife in a number of ways. Animals can become entangled in plastic bags, which can suffocate them. Animals can also mistake plastic bags for food, which can lead to blockages in their digestive system.
There are a number of things that we can do to reduce our use of plastic bags. We can bring our own reusable bags when we go shopping, we can refuse plastic bags when they are offered to us, and we can recycle plastic bags when we are finished with them. By taking these steps, we can help to protect the environment and reduce the amount of plastic pollution.

Here's resources around Tomball where you can be part of the solution to keep our community beautiful.

This Saturday Tomball Lone Star Community Library is hosting their annual Recycling Day! Load up and recycle your computers, cell phones, wires, televisions, car batteries, used motor oil, non-lithium batteries, have your papers shredded and safely dispose of your old prescription drugs.

We also have a local landfill that is open to handle items your trash service can not take weekly. You can take your old refrigerators, stoves, mattresses, rugs, water heaters, siding, lumber etc...

Help us tell the City of Tomball what is important to you and what you would like to see at our parks and recreation areas.  Please be a part of this ongoing project as the City works to provide more walking trails, all inclusive parks, pickle ball courts, dog parks and hopefully space for community garden projects with Tomball Farmers Market.

Please attend this meeting and complete the survey above and have your voices heard and see the wonderful plans they have in store for Tomball.

This Saturday in addition to our Regular 9 to 1 all local farmers market is the City's Rail's and Tails Festival!  If you have been in years past you know what a popular event this always is.
Guests can chow down on spicy boiled crawfish and other Cajun treats along with a variety of festival foods and drinks, then shop vendors selling all sorts of merchandise.  There’s even a “Cajun Kids Zone” with bouncy fun for the little ones.

Enjoy a slower day as you shop and the kiddos hunt for Easter Eggs at Vendor Booths. The first 35 kids who visit the information booth will get a special reusable Easter Bag.
