July 29th, 2021 Behind the Scenes

We've had a busy week this week.  There is so much that goes on behind the scenes every week to make Tomball Farmers Market the success that it is and it's due in huge part to our partnerships within the community.

This week our Tomball Farmers Market was asked to speak at the Bringing Back Main Street Roundtable hosted by
Houston-Galveston Area Council where City Leaders from across our state met to discuss how to revitalize Main Street areas. We were asked to talk about how our market has grown, the businesses it has helped and how having a truly local farmers market has impacted our beloved community and helped it to grow. Mayor Gretchen Fagan also presented on her food truck establishment and the changes they had to make within the city to make
403 EATS just down the street a reality. And Constance McDerby in the Woodlands with Food and Vine Time discussed how local foodie events can help revitalize Main Streets across our state.  It was a wonderful discussion and we are really humbled that we got to be part of the conversation on how local farmers markets can add to small towns and help them grow in this world of big box stores around us.  We are so proud to be a part of this community and excited to watch Tomball grow as a community.
