Comments

We can't wait to see you this weekend for the Solar Eclipse! Grab your eclipse glasses and join us to shop your favorite farmers and artisan vendors. There is SO much to do in Tomball this weekend with your family!

After enjoying our all local farmers market and the solar eclipse, shop and grab lunch at one of our wonderful businesses within walking distance of the Market. At 3 PM the gates open for The Big Show Concert at the Depot. It's always a great event and you can buy tickets online
HERE or even at the gates on Saturday! Don't forget your blankets and lawn chairs.

October 28th is our 10th Annual Halloween Trick or Treat Market from 9 to 1 PM. The Vendors really get into the Halloween spirit and compete with each other to see who has the best Halloween Booth. Dress up the kiddos and come Trick or Treat with us! It's one of our favorite markets of the year.

The drought this year has put a serious strain on our local farmers this year making it more difficult for our community to access local fresh food options. All our farmers have really struggled this year between the last 2 freezes and now the drought to grow and raise their livestock.

And it isn't just affecting local farmers and has lead to higher food prices due to supply and demand.
Several of our farmers are having hard discussions on continuing farming and ranching. As a result of these challenges many of our farmers and vendors are having difficulty finding and affording the food and ingredients they need to keep their small businesses operational. It's created a rippling effect across Texas and our nation.

How you help our local food supply in Texas due to the drought.
  • Support local farmers.
  • Conserve water.
  • Donate to local food banks.
Additional things that you can do:
  • Advocate for policies that support sustainable agriculture and drought preparedness. Vote yes to Prop 1 in November.
  • Educate yourself and others about the drought and its impacts on our food supply and our ecosystem. The more people who can get involved the more likely we are to find solutions together.
